Chicago Metallic Premium Nonstick Nonstick Muffin Top Pans Set of 2 Review

and liked it so much I bought two more. They make the best part of the muffin - the top. We also use it for corn bread, the size of the cups is perfect for plopping a corn bread on top of a large soup mug full of chili - makes a nice little lid. Some people claimed the pans are poor quality - I think they're fine. There is no lip to help in pulling them out of the oven, but I have oven mitts with lines of grippy silicone on them, solves the problem. Or use tongs to pull the pan to the edge of the oven rack, then grab them.

Practically indestructable, and can go through the dishwasher, if you don't mind the aluminum changing color. These don't burn the muffins like the coated ones do, on the bottom. Even if I turned the oven down, I still fought the coated ones. These are the best.

This is a great product, very sturdy. Cooks evenly cleans up quick. The only problem is that there is a little ridge outside each cup that has to be cleaned with a brush. Well worth the price.

Norpro Nonstick Puffy Muffin Crown Pan Review

Norpro Nonstick Puffy Muffin Crown Pan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I ordered two of these pans, and they work fine. The non-stick surface is high quality and the muffin tops come out great. HOWEVER, I found that my recipe made 24 muffin tops and two pans hold only 12, so I tried just blobbing the muffin batter onto a plain old fashioned cookie sheet and it worked BETTER! The muffin tops are easier to remove from the cookie sheet because there are no indentations to deal with. So if you are thinking of investing in muffin top pans, first try a cookie sheet. Some batter is so thick that I flatten it slightly before baking, other spreads out more, so it is trial and error until you get the hang of it.

Chefscape TEMPR 4-Slice Egg and Muffin Toaster Review

Chefscape TEMPR 4-Slice Egg and Muffin Toaster
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
OMG where do I start!? We are two culinary people under one roof. Because of that, I am always on the lookout for great gadgets. But one that saves time in the kitchen, makes eggs better than I could cook em up without it, AND saves on fat and calories...oooo now that's a keeper!
Saves time: No pans to handwash after frying up an egg. just wipe the nonstick tiny pan you sprayed with non-stick cooking spray out when done. And you don't need to keep an eye on the eggs. Just put them in, set for the desired doneness you want (I like mine cooked all the way through, but you can make yours sunny side up...your choice!), and walk away and go about your business...in a few minutes it will turn itself off when your eggs are cooked to perfection.
Makes great eggs: first, I'll talk about the boiled eggs. If your water temp isnt perfect when cooking boiled eggs normally, the egg will stick to the shell making them unsightly after peeling and losing some egg with the shell. This cooks to perfection of your desired doneness and peels away easily. Now you can cook a few boiled eggs and have them for a great protein snack during the day or whip up an eggsalad in no time for lunch! And you never have to time it again...it does it for you!
Second, I'll talk about the poached eggs. I used to make fried egg sandwiches. But crack an egg in a pan and it runs around the pan resulting in a thin egg. This makes an egg you can really sink your teeth into! You know how the egg mcmuffin is thick at mcdonalds? It has that thickness...sooooo good for an egg sandwich! I feel like I am eating two eggs for the calories of one! And the yolk is cooked perfectly in unison with the white. AND the toast, muffin, bagel etc will finish toasting at the EXACT time your egg is done! it times it for you so one isn't hotter than the other.
Save on fat and calories: No need to put butter or oil in a pan to cook that sunny side up egg. just spray with a tiny bit of nonstick cooking spray and it's cooked to perfection and slides easily out of the pan!
Ideas: In addition to just the great protein snack of eggs on their own, this makes some real fancy breakfasts easy. Cook an english muffin and top with your favorite salsa. add sliced avocado and a poached egg on top. Very low cal and only good monounsaturated fat in the avocado. You can even add cheddar if you like. Or make your own low calorie egg mcmuffin with two english muffins, canadian bacon, poached egg and cheese. Add some mayo or even chipotle mayo to jazz it up. I also love eggs, tomato, mayo and cheese on toast and eggs, bacon, cheese and tomato between two bagels. I sometimes toast a slice of toast, drizzle with olive oil and top with an egg, and I do all kinds of egg salads. I also poach eggs then microwave corn tortillas with cheddar cheese and add salsa for breakfast tacos.
Eating breakfast has been proven to help you lose weight. Eggs are a complete protein of low calories...and the protein keeps you full longer...this helps you do gourmet breakfasts in the time it would take you to make high glycemic sugary cereal pretty much!
Going to a party, having guests over, holiday time? I always bring the deviled eggs! Boils em in no time and I just slice open, stir in dijon, mayo, a bit of relish sometimes...I love chipotle mayo in these too. Sprinkle with paprika on top
Why the one for 2 eggs? So you can whip up some for you and another, or make fast eggs benedict for guests (if you want to do this, toast the english muffins, top with canadian bacon or even fresh spinach or asparagus for vegetarians, top with cheese if you want, poached egg...and, if you dont wish to make your own hollandaise then just buy the powdered mix in the dry mix packets in the grocery store (found with all the other powdered mixes like gravies, etc) and make your own!
I honest to God, use this daily. I love me some eggs but I hate cleaning up after cooking them...dont have to anymore. LOVE THIS GADGET!!!

Oneida Commerical 24 Cup Muffin Pan Review

Oneida Commerical 24 Cup Muffin Pan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is not a full size muffin pan. Nowhere on the product description does it state the size. However, Amazon also sells a "mini muffin" pan by Oneida, so one would assume that this is full size. That is not the case. If you are looking for a full size 24 cup muffin tin, you might want to check a restaurant supply store. I will be returning mine, though it does appear to be of sturdy construction.

I've used this pan four times now. The result has been very satisfactory. No matter I greased the pan or not, the muffins always came out so easily. I haven't tried to use dishwasher to clean the pan yet since it's so easy to clean by hand!
The color of pan is light-gray. But it doesn't affact my baking time, I still use the time recommended by the regular muffin recipes.

Heavy duty, double coated non-stick, alum alloy...does not rust. Should last a lifetime. Very easy to clean just wipe with a wet rag and hand dry or air dry pan. My wife and I are tired of replacing baking pans that rust after a few years. I have another Chicago baking tray and it has taken a beating, but still looks new. I have had it for about 10 years. Ok to use in dishwasher if you are in a hurry or have room.

Wilton Excelle Elite 12-Cup Muffin Pan Review

Wilton Excelle Elite 12-Cup Muffin Pan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The pan works extremely well: bakes and browns evenly. The thing is so non-stick that pam beads up and hardly does anything. I haven't brought myself not to use pam, but given the beading, I doubt it does much good. The muffins do stick slightly in the corners unless you let them cool for about 10 minutes in the pan, then they slide right out. The whole thing is non-stick, so cleaning is a breeze and baked on spillage slides right off.
The only problem is that with the handles, which are tremendously helpful in keeping your oven mitt out of the batter or baked good, the pan is so long that it does not fit front to back in my oven, which is a full size range. I thus need to turn it sideways and cannot put two pans on one shelf. Not a major negative, but something to consider.
Not that these things are likely to rust, but an easy way to take care of them is to hand wash them and put them back into the still-warm oven to dry. Works like a charm.

Fat Daddio's 12-Cup Standard Muffin Pan Review

Fat Daddio's 12-Cup Standard Muffin Pan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this muffin tin to go with the bakeware set and have used it a few times so far and love it. The material is very stick resistant, easy to clean and dishwasher safe. The overall weight is good and though the brand is far less expensive than others the quality is not lacking which I was worried about. My only complain is the seams around each muffin cup, these may be unavoidable but make cleaning take a little bit longer. Also I am still a little up in the air about how healthy it is to cook in aluminum but since these are for baking occassionaly and not made out of rust-prone steel, they seemed to be the best option. After much research this is the best product I found at Williams Sonoma, Bed Bath and Beyond, Kohls, Target, online and at grocery stores. This is the muffin pan to buy, very similar to what you find in professional kitchens.

first time i used this pan i thought finally a nonstick pan that won't stick. WRONG! i read all the little details about not using nonstick cooking spray on etc.it worked good the first time, second time i used it i had to run the knife around the edges to break it loose, third time, the eggs stuck so bad that i had to pry them out with a spoon. went to walmart got a better homes and garden nonstick pan, and its been working like a champ every single time , all i have to do is pick the egg up out of the pan ,no prying,no coaxing , no nothing and a breeze to clean i would not spend the money on this pan.

Wilton Silicone Ultra-flex Silicone Bakeware Set Cake Pan, Loaf Pan, Muffin Pan Review

Wilton Silicone Ultra-flex Silicone Bakeware Set Cake Pan, Loaf Pan, Muffin Pan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought a burgundy-red version of this set in a home & garden specialty store when I was last in Washington, D.C. in just February of this year. I have gotten into cooking bread, so the loaf pan has been used almost weekly since its purchase.
The first thing I noticed was the blackening of the silicone pan edges. Can't get that off, but I supposed that is to be expected with regular baking. The more critical issue, however, is that it seems to have been the signal of bigger trouble. First the right lip fell away and now the left. And it gave up holding its upright loaf shape well before that (presumably because "ultra-flex" is code for "much too thin"). I don't mind the bowed bread (we eat it anyway), but when I came across a used silicone bread pan from another brand and compared the results, I couldn't help but find this one inferior.
I cannot recommend this item for regular use.

When i first received this pan..i had my doubts. It sat off to the side for about 3 months and finally tonight, i decided to make some banana chocolate chip muffins and they turned out great! The crust on the outer layer was crisp! Just the way i like it. Nothing stuck to the pan, but i did butter it up. Clean up is a snap. Remember, do not wash cast iron pans with soap, just use a scrub brush and hot water. I will be purchasing more Sante Cabin cast iron!
