(More customer reviews)My husband is very very picky about his toast. I can honestly say that we went through more than 10 toasters of various prices - high and low - half of them made unacceptable toast - and half of them broke while making unacceptable toast - and then we found the Dualit. This was about 5 years ago - in a true panic, I thought I would just go out and buy the most expensive toaster there was - and found this one at williams-sonoma. Sticker shock, but I've recommended it since, to everyone who toasts. And it has made perfect toast since the day we bought it.
It's great - it is really easy to clean. There is no relying on electronics to decide how toasted the bread is - you figure it out and you know forever - about 2 minutes for a piece of toast for wheat bread from the fridge into cold toaster - if second round of toast and toaster is hot, cut it by 25%. The little ticking sound while it's fixing your perfect toast is nice to keep you remembering that you have toast - and when the ticking stops (no cha-ching), you know you are ready.
I have zero regrets and hundreds of absolutely perfect toasting experiences. And we paid full price - this was before amazon got into this market. Dualit is the best toaster in the world -and me? - I am the toaster queen.

(More customer reviews)I saw these mini bundt cake pans in a food blog (mycreativeflavors.com) and had to have them! Perfect for individual sized cakes and great alternative to cupcakes. The size is the same as a standard cupcake mold. 1/3 cup capacity, holds 1/4 cup batter. These cups are for use with the Kitchenaid Pop Out Muffin Pan but work fine on their own on a plain cookie sheet. So far I've make apple bacon bundts with maple glaze and they came out perfect! Off to try baby tunnel of fudge cakes now.

These ramiken cups are the perfect size for "jumbo" muffins: I did use unbleached baking cups as liners and I also used a matching Chantel ceramic tray to hold these ceramic cups inside the oven. The oven needed to be pre-heated at a higher level (450) to compensate, but the muffins baked wonderfully well @400 degrees. Fox Run Pastry Mat with Measurements Review

(More customer reviews)It works like a charm. Nothing sticks. It has convenient measurement conversions and circles for rolling things out to the proper size. I couldn't find any manufacturing defects. While it is too early to tell how long it will last, I don't see any potential problem areas.
The only rub is in what it is being called. Amazon calls it "Fox Run Pastry Mat with Measurements", and describe typical pastry mat features, such as the markings, etc. The box it comes in calls it a "baking mat", and describes how hot an oven it is safe, until, etc. The model number on the box is the same as that on the Amazon site. Pastry mat and baking mat are not synonymous, but as long as it suits my purpose, I can live with the ambiguous labeling.

(More customer reviews)I found this item (the large size) at Ross for around $5. The idea is great, the execution not so much. It "adjusts" to let you choose the thickness of the patty. But adjusting the patty size, and "dispensing" the patty once it's formed, are almost impossible for two reasons: (1) the two plastic cylinders "stick," and do not move smoothly against each other and (2) your hands get SLIPPERY in the process of forming the patties (even with lean ground turkey) so you can't get a good grip on the two plastic cylinders. So, concept 5 stars; execution 0 stars. I just put mine in the garbage. /:o[

(More customer reviews)The Nordic Ware Microwave Omelet Pan is quite a nifty little kitchen gadget. Before purchasing, I had said to myself, "Making an omelet in the microwave? Impossible." I got this pan and was proven wrong. To my surprise, the omelets made in this pan come out rather tasty. I was also pleased that the eggs come right out of the pan and don't stick at all. However, as others have said, you must use some kind of cooking spray, oil or butter for a completely non-sticking surface when removing the egg from the pan. It's easy to clean. No stuck-on, hard to remove egg whatsoever.
I remember reading one or maybe a few reviews that said their pan didn't come with instructions. Mine did. I followed them and the resulting omelet was not the best. It came out a bit hard. It was edible and not bad but not particularly the best omelet. The instructions are rather standard and goes as follows:
- 2-4 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of milk or water
- Beat in a small bowl
- Pour the mixture in the omelet pan evenly on both sides
- Cook for 2 minutes
- Stir from outside in
- Place the toppings on each half and cook for another 1.5 minutes
- Remove from the microwave
- Fold the pan to make the omelet
What the instructions do not take into account is the wattage of the microwave you're using or that times may vary depending on the amount of eggs you use.
My findings based on the use of 2 eggs, which I think is more than enough(for me anyway), is that hand or electrically mixed eggs took 1.15 to 1.30 minutes to be completely cooked or when the eggs started to bubble up and it looked like they would bubble over and the wet egg was consumed. Any longer or following the above directions provided by Nordic Ware resulted in the hard or rubbery eggs that I described earlier. However, using the times I indicated resulted in a soft, fluffy, fully cooked omelet which was more to my liking. Another important note is that I'm using a 1250W microwave. Perhaps the factory directions would be more suitable if you have a lower wattage microwave or are using more than 2 eggs.
I mostly make cheese omelets. I like to place the cheese on after I take the omelet out of the microwave because from experience when I did it as instructed, the cheese came out watery.
Pan fried, stove-made omelets taste better in my opinion but this pan still does a good job and in a fraction of the time.
I also use the omelet pan for making eggs to put in my breakfast sandwiches. I just beat one egg and pour it on one side of the pan. Cool gadget for quick eggs in the morning.

One of the nicer scents of the lot, and an easy way to put a smile on a lady's face.
If unlike me you don't have Yankee Candle stores nearby (or the factory two hours away) it is an excellent way to give it a taste.
Try one as a gift, they last longer than flowers.

(More customer reviews)There are two downfalls to this stand: 1) layers of the stand cannot be removed so you are stuck displaying 23 cupcakes (22 if you remove the top which is the only optional layer) and 2) the cupcake slots are so close together that it is very difficult to fit larger cupcakes in properly. I bought some cupcakes at a local shop and was unable to fit them all in. The display still looked great though and I was happy to have it.

I ended up having to overnight some other brown cups from another store. I contacted the seller through Amazon marketplace and they never got back with me. And now, 3 weeks later, I just got an email saying my order has been canceled. If they were never planning on sending me something they were selling, they shouldn't be offering it for sale. At least they never charged my credit card. If they aren't going to fill orders, they don't need to be on Amazon. Do not order anything from this seller. You may or may not get it, who knows.
