(More customer reviews)What a baking disaster! This Cupcake Creations product did not work on a cookie sheet as advertised. I purchased these expensive but pretty pink swirl baking cups to make a cupcake tier for my daughter's birthday party. The cups lost their round shape during baking, and each cupcake had a different weird shape. Of the 22 cupcakes baked, only 4 had a partial presentation side. I had to make another batch of cupcakes in the middle of the night. Fortunately, I had a package of basic white cupcake papers handy. If I use this brand again, I will only use them to line muffin tins.

Lodge Original Finish Cast Iron Eight-Section Cornbread Skillet Review

(More customer reviews)Not my favorite Cast iron piece of cookware. It is tough to get the muffins to come out whole, especially out of the small end. It is starting to get a bit easier, though, so maybe as it gets older I will like it more. Suggestion, either add more butter/shortening to the recipe or grease up the pan before you add the batter. Both seem to help quite a bit. Otherwise you will end up with cornbread dust after trying to wedge the slices out of the pan. If you are not looking to add more pans to your collection, the 8" or 10" skillet will cook up cornbread just fine. HOWEVER, when you get it right, and the cornbread comes out nicely, it IS some of the best cornbread you'll ever taste. There is just something about those nice, golden brown sides when they come out of this pan that just tastes great. I use this pan at least once a week, and it keeps getting better.
As with all Cast Iron pans, they require a lot of care. Seasoning when you get them, oiling before you put them away, never drop them on your toes and don't annoy someone when they have one in their hands.

(More customer reviews)I two sets of Tupperware Cupcake Keepers from Amazon, and I have to say that these Tupperware Cupcake Keepers are adorable! I gave two of them to my co-workers, and they thought these Tupperware Cupcake Keepers were a great and cute idea. I also love the cute cupcake keychains that come with this set. The Tupperware cupcake keychains measure about an inch and a half in height, and they open as well! You can put small items such as pills, candy, a small ring or a pair of small earrings, or even cupcake sprinkles in the keychain. I tested the Tupperware Cupcake Keeper by putting a Georgetown Cupcake from TLC's DC Cupcakes in the cupcake holder, and tossed and flipped the holder many times for a short while. I then opened the cupcake holder, and the cupcake still looked great. This container is big enough to put muffins and other food items as well. The seller I ordered this from packed these two sets nicely, and even wrote, "Thank you!". The reason why I'm writing a review now on this product is because of something good Tupperware is doing. The Tupperware company recently launched a Chain of Confidence campaign to promote young female empowerment. Tupperware recently created a Facebook page - type the facebook URL with chainofconfidence after the backslash. Singer Kelly Clarkson is one of the spokeswomen for this Tupperware Chain of Confidence campaign. For any Facebook user who enters that page, and clicks on "Like", a $1 donated from Tupperware goes for the first 25,000 "Likes" to the Boys and Girls Club of America. Right now, there are 2,407 Likes. It would be cool to see 25,000 Likes from Facebook users so that Tupperware can donate $25,000 to help the Boys and Girls Club of America by the end of this month, May. By the way, I just read that an Israeli couple just named their newborn daughter, "Like", after Facebook. On May 25th, Kelly Clarkson will sing for the Tupperware's Confide and Conquer concert on May 25th in New York City. If you're not a Facebook user, you can buy Chain of Confidence merchandise designed by Aimee David on the web. Anyways, I just thought I would bring this up now since it's getting close to the end of May, and I know that are many kindhearted Amazon customers. It's of no cost, just click on "Like" on their Facebook page. Trust me, I have never asked anyone to press the "Like" button on any Facebook page ever in the history of my life. But since this is related to the Tupperware product I'm reviewing, and I feel that the youth of America can benefit from this great idea and program from Tupperware, that's why I mentioned this subject. Anyways, back to the product, if you want a nice quality cupcake holder and keychain set, then this Tupperware Cupcake Keeper set is the set for you! I highly recommend this Tupperware Cupcake Keeper set!

(More customer reviews)I purchased two packages of these from a local baking supply shop because they were so pretty I couldn't pass them up. I baked my cupcakes and stored them overnight. The next morning I was horrified to see that about one third of the baking cups had begun to peel away from the cakes. (I had baked 60 cupcakes!) They looked awful and I had to bake more cupcakes in regular white cups so I would have enough for the client. These cups are advertised as "non-stick." Well, they certainly are non-stick. They didn't even stick to the cupcakes long enough for me to decorate them! I will never buy this brand again. They are too expensive anyway.

(More customer reviews)I credit myself to being a great baker and consumer. When I saw these cupcake liners I was foolishly swayed by their colorful presentation and overpaid for a cupcake liner. I was further foolishly swayed by their claim of "No Muffin Pan REQUIRED" which I knew must be impossible so why did I buy them? And why did I decide to use them without a muffin pan, at midnight, the night before my son's 18th birthday, to make his favorite cupcakes? The cupcakes came out square shaped except for the ones that caved the liner and ended up all over the cookie sheet like flat pancakes! What a total waste of time and money. I will use up the remaining liners IN A MUFFIN PAN and never buy this brand again.

(More customer reviews)I bought one cake pan by Orka, and then some others by various brands. The difference in quality is huge! The other brands of bakeware were flimsy and had to be placed on a cookie sheet, otherwise it was like trying to carry pudding in a plastic sack. Orka bakeware is thicker and denser which allows you to handle it by the stifffened rim without the sides collapsing or bending. Also, the interiors of the Orka pans are very shiny and slick, making the baked cake 'pop out' as it's supposed to, whereas the other brands have a matte finish that clings to your food and holds odors. I baked Thanksgiving stuffing in a 'K' brand loaf pan and wound up donating it to Goodwill afterwards when scrubbing with baking soda and soaking it for a week couldn't get rid of the onion smell.

(More customer reviews)The dimensions of each cup are similar to a jumbo muffin size so it is not as deep as I thought. Because it is slightly translucent, the blue is not as obnoxious as I expected. I have tried it out with a steamed bread recipe that worked fine. No problem popping out. As for floppiness, I used a rack that only held up the middle part but the sides didn not flop badly at all.
This is a fluted jumbo muffin cup. It is cheaper than the Siliconezone version so I recommend this even though it is only available in blue.
Is this frugal? no but the larger size is good for steamed buns with the fluted sides interesting
Would I have purchased this used at a cheaper price off of craigslist? no
Did I shop around for the best total price including the manufacturer's website? yes and so should you

Disney Pop Art 5-in-1 Tasty Baker Review

(More customer reviews)If you have a preschooler, this would be the perfect breakfast/snack/dessert-making option for your family. If you have older kids or you're a kid at heart, you're going to go hungry.
In my case, I'm an adult Disney fan who has been searching for a Mickey waffle maker not unlike those used at the theme parks for a long time. When I was pointed to this product, I was beside myself with excitement for not only does it contain the visage of Mickey, but the rest of the Fab 5 as well. From the product image and description, I thought that the molds were in miniature but still large enough for a filling meal.
Much to my surprise, upon obtaining the box (much smaller than expected) and opening the iron, the molds are *super* small. No bigger than about a chicken nugget or a semi-large meatball. I decided to test it out and used the smallest batch recipe for waffles. The instructions that come with the iron aren't impressive but easy to read and it DOES give you cooking times for specific types of food (you can use just about any batter that pours with the iron). To make 6 waffles takes 4 minutes. To make enough to fill an adult or two took me close to 30 minutes in order to use up all the batter.
If I had a young child who doesn't eat much, this is an adorable treat. I think I'll use it more for bite-sized desserts, though perhaps just for special occasions since it's a lot of work. Easy, but time consuming. It comes with a scoop to making pouring batter easier, a brush to assist in cleaning, and the iron itself is easy to clean and well-made.
However, I'm still going to keep an eye out for a full-sized Mickey waffle maker. Had I known the molds were this small, I would have passed.

Chicago Metallic Gourmetware Mini Tortilla/Taco Shell Pan, Set/2 Review

(More customer reviews)I bought these pans in late 2009 and have used them several times now. They do a great job of making crispy taco salad shells.
By experience, I do not coat them with cooking spray as that will eventually gunk up nonstick pans. I just heat the tortilla shells in the microwave about 20 seconds or so to soften them, then press them inside each pan and bake them on a cookie sheet. They stay in place well.
