(More customer reviews)Nordic Ware Platinum Collection. This is from the finest line of Nordic Ware baking pans and fits a small toaster type oven, too. (9 inch diameter.) Pan sections take only 1/4 cup batter, NOT 1/2 cup as stated on Amazon! You get TINY cakes, so you might want to take advantage of the "buy 4 get one free" on this item on Amazon. (4 pans easily fit in a regular oven for baking all at once.) These are delightful presentation cakes that impress everyone! We heat the pan as the oven heats, and use food release spray inside the molds (tho this pan is nonstick) then cleanup is a snap - with a brush and hot water (NO SOAP) - then set them in the still-warm oven to dry for the next time. My favorite cake is lemon with a simple lemon juice and glazing sugar (or powdered sugar) icing.
Note: Professional bakers say you will not ruin the surface of the non stick interior, and will get excellent release, IF you spray the pan after it is HOT. "Glazing sugar" is powdered sugar WITHOUT the grainy cornstarch and is available from Bakers Supply sites, like Bakers Catalog dot com.
